Our local TSA agents need our help.
Knoxville TSA agents have been working without a paycheck for weeks, and many of them are struggling.
The Senate passed a bill to fund TSA and most of DHS — but House Republicans rejected it Friday, with Speaker Johnson proposing a different stopgap instead. That alternative is considered unlikely to pass the Senate. President Trump signed a memo to pay TSA agents, but it remains unclear exactly how that will work or when paychecks will arrive. Our neighbors at TYS shouldn't have to wait.
My team is coordinating donations to help TSA agents. Our government has failed them, but our community will show up.
Drop off items at the Delta counter at Tyson McGhee Airport – anyone can bring donations directly to TYS.
