Every person deserves the freedom to make decisions about if, when, and how to grow their families without interference from politicians. I believe in the value of life, and that new parents deserve to be supported, not ignored, while they raise their children.

Right now, Tennessee has the highest maternal mortality rate in the country, medical providers are fleeing our state, and politicians are trying to control our bodies.

What I’ll work for in Congress to fix it:

• Restore and protect the right to abortion

• Defend access to contraception and fertility treatment

• Rebuild and modernize our maternal healthcare infrastructure 

• Fund research to identify best practices in caring for pregnant women

• Support paid parental leave so parents don’t have to choose between financial security and raising children

• Expand access to quality, affordable childcare programs in East Tennessee so parents can work without choosing between their careers and their children
